I am no stranger to procrastination. But this exam period, it has hit me quite hard.
Leading up to my first week where I had two papers due and the 12-hour drive to and from Belgium for a written exam:
- Try to become a chess grandmaster
- Read three books
- Spend time with Jesse’s family
- Start my “writing dangerously project”
- Come up with freelance, remote business ideas
- Daily journaling
Leading up to my one final exam:
- Research additional PhD and other post-grad programs in Europe
- Look for programs for Jesse
- Search for jobs
- Start studying Italian
- Adding a second time a day for daily journaling
- Start writing the book I stopped writing 8 years ago
- Try to learn the Russian alphabet
- Spend all day shopping for the perfect pair of boots
- Look through hundreds of coats I cannot afford
- Start a French lesson through Coursera
- Search for jobs in Berlin
- Search for jobs in Estonia
- Stretching
- Getting back into exercise
- Research new hobbies
- Change the theme on my website
- Find pictures for a bunch of my posts
- Created a list of Italian authors I should read
- Created an even longer list of Russian literature I should read, even though I have failed to finish Anna Karenina three times now
- Create this list
I am sure there are more, but I should finish my last 17 pages of reading before heading to bed since my exam starts at 9 am tomorrow.
